To Smudge or Not to Smudge?

To Smudge or Not to Smudge?

The ancient practice of smudging has been around for centuries. Smudging is the burning of herbs (most commonly used is sage) to get rid of toxic and negative energies. The practice has been around for ages and was used by Native Americans, in Ancient Rome and Greece and ancient Egypt as a way to cleanse a space from bad spirits and negative energies.

Smudging can be useful when you’re feeling depressed, angry, resentful, unwell, or after you have had an argument with someone, or even when you have been in the presence of a negative vibration.

To smudge, light a smudge stick and let it catch on fire. Blow out the fire, and let the smoke billow from the stick. Walk around your home letting the smoke get everywhere, in every room, and in every cabinet. This smoke is purifying your sanctuary, your space, your HOME.

Each Month within the BeeWitched Box, among other amazing things, I put in a smudge stick or incense of some sort. This is to not only enhance our senses, but to help clear away negativity in our life. If you are interested in signing up for your monthly box that is infused with LOVE…wait no more! Sign up today!
